Organizational Behavior Essay: Introduction

Organizational behavior models tend to aim to analyze the management and organization with specific categories. Organizational behavior models directly examine the people who work in the organization and their management skills (Daft, 2018). Also, it is related to other disciplines such as psychology, sociology, anthropology because organizational behavior models examine the individuals, and for understanding individuals, it is important to ground a theoretical basis with other scientific sources (Robbins, 2019). More specifically, these sources have already been examined the individuals for a long time. Therefore, it is inevitable for organizational behavior models to use these sources on a theoretical basis. In other words, organizational behavior models support its theoretical basis with these other related sources that are examining individuals in society. Besides, the organizational behavior field is improving itself with the new researches, and all these researches are aiming to help organizations by solving their organization's problems with the behavioral grounding. There are several models of organizational behavior, but this paper focuses on a supportive model.

One can infer that businesses should learn organizational behavior models in order to solve their business problems because organizational behavior tries to explain why individuals behave as they do at work, and if these behaviors are causing problems for business, and how these problems can be solved (“Models of Organizational,” 2020). More specifically, most of the time, businesses are gaining profits and market share with the help of the employees and managers who works in their business so that businesses' success can be measured with the performance of their employees (Robbins, 2019). Therefore, businesses that embrace supportive models are most likely to create a better work environment than other businesses that prefer different models because a supportive model provides opportunities for the employees to achieve the organization's goals.

The inputs in a supportive model are to participate in the organizations and supporting one and another, during work time. Also, the most important input in this model is leadership with a managerial orientation of support. The employees, in turn, are oriented towards job performance and participation (“Model of Organizational,” 2020). The process for employees in this model is to see support from their supervisors or managers to achieve their goals in their performances. Employees who achieve their goals are performing more at work than at other times. Also, the process in this model includes both individual goals and organizational goals. The outputs in this model are status and recognition, and since a supportive model basis is it's grounding in leadership with a managerial orientation of support, employees are achieving their goals successfully that allows them to gain status and recognition. Also, supportive model outputs create a supportive environment at work.

Supportive model's microanalysis focuses on individuals who work in the organization, and these individuals are performing their best in the work because their supervisors or managers are supporting them to succeed in their responsibilities. The meso group analysis of the supportive model is to share responsibilities inside of the group, and support employees to participate in the team works, and on the decision-making points. Also, a supportive model's group analysis focuses on leadership that supports its employees to achieve their task in work, and because of supportive leadership and supportive work environment, employees are showing optimum performance in work. Moreover, the organizational level of the supportive model and topics include organizational designs and their effect on organizational performance; affective events theory and the physical environment; organizational culture and climate; and organizational change (Ashkanasy, Dorris, 2017). In other words, a supportive model benefits both individuals and organizations, and it helps groups in the work because it demands to share responsibility in the work environment.

When I compare the supportive model to others, I found that the most efficient model is a supportive one because its goals and requirements are helpful to employees. Also, in the work environment, sometimes employees are feeling stress because of their heavy responsibilities, and because of this reason, employees do not want to participate in the organizational meetings or other meetings that require extra responsibilities. In other words, stress is causing the failure, and employees start to perform less when they failed at their task. Therefore, their understanding becomes limited due to stress and other failures in the work environment. Also, employees are affecting their supervisor's behaviors in the work environment that limits their understanding.

According to my experiences in the work environment, employees who do not have support their responsibilities are failing more than others, and they start to perform less in work than other times. Moreover, a supportive model is aiming to solve these problems in the work environment so that employees can start to optimize their performance in work, and supportive leadership gains its employees a lot of good qualities during the work; specifically, employees improve their understanding skills of a situation. Eventually, employees are performing their best in order to gain status and recognition at work, and supportive models provide good outcomes.
