Pride and Prejudice Analysis Introduction

Pride and Prejudice (2005) is among the most influential pieces of history and widely known by many people. In this direction, this paper focuses on the novel and its movie that was directed by Joe Wright in 2005. The film is based on Jane Austen's novel, which was written in the 19th century. The movie and the book concentrate on the Bennet family. For the essay, I chose Elizabeth (Lizzie) for analyzing her costumes.

Body Paragraphs

Pride and Prejudice novel reveals differences between classes in England. The novel and the movie tell the Bennet sisters' narrative. Elizabeth, Jane, Lydia, Marry, and Kitty have strong bonds with each other. Bennet's sisters frequently hear their mother's marriage lectures. That is, a new gentleman Charles Bingley rents the Netherfield Park in Longbourn, and his closest friend Fitzwilliam Darcy the lord of Pemberley, stays with Bingley.

Mr. Bennet pays a visit to Charles Bingley, then Longbourn citizens organize a ball Charles Bingley and his friends attend to dance. Cornerstones of the movie shape in dance because Charles falls in love with Jane, and she is the most beautiful woman among the Bennet sisters. However, Darcy refuses to dance with anybody, and Charles asks him to dance with Elizabeth. Darcy arrogantly refuses to dance with her, and he says that she is not beautiful enough. Elizabeth hears their talk, and after that, she develops a prejudice against Darcy. Eventually, Jane marries Charles, and Elizabeth marries Darcy.

The movie concentrates on their love story. Elizabeth is the smartest and the most intellectual woman among the Bennet sisters. She is happy, and she loves to laugh. She cares about her family's wellness, and loves reading books. But, she can be manipulated easily. For instance, George Wickham tricks her easily, and she believes his lies about Darcy.

Costume Analysis Paragraphs

First of all, Elizabeth Bennet's family belongs to middle-class; therefore, she wears a costume several times. Her costume is an effortless long-sleeve brown long dress with a low, close scooped neckline, and it has tiny fabric details on the neckline. She has a brown belt on her waist. She has black shoes. In this costume, her make-up is natural, and one can suggest that her make-up is almost invisible. Her hair is bun and natural. Her costume two is a simple long-sleeve dark green long dress with fabric details on the neckline, and it has a black belt on the waist. Her make-up and hair are very natural. For instance, she has a light pink lipstick, and she has a soft pink brush on her face. Her hair is a bun, and her bang is natural.

In the movie, her costume three is a glamorous white short-sleeve long dress. Specifically, this costume is the most beautiful dress among other costumes. Her dress has a low wide scooped neckline, and it has lace details on the neckline. Also, her short-sleeved fabric is made of lace. It has a white belt on the low waist. She has white low-heeled shoes. Her hair and make-up style is intricate. For instance, her hair has pearls. She has pearl earrings, and she has a tiara. Her make-up is beautiful because she has marked pink lipstick and pink blush. Also, she has a silver eyeshadow. Also, her costume four is a shirt collar white long-sleeve long dress. She has a beige vest on top of her dress. She has a loose ponytail. Her make-up is natural. One can highlight that she has pink lipstick and pink blush.
